It’s not long until Pride is back on the streets of Brussels, so get your rainbow flags ready!
The Belgian Pride will be taking over the city on 21 May.
This year’s theme is “Open” – a call for more inclusiveness, respect and equality for LGBTQIA+ people.
This is all about openness to others, respect and consent, as well as culture and celebration.
Everything kicks off at 1 PM at the Mont des Arts/Kunstberg.
Organisers are expecting around 100,000 people at the event, marching to defend their rights and celebrating diversity in the streets of Brussels.
The procession will make its way through the streets of Brussels – passing the Manneken- Pis, which will be dressed in a costume designed especially for the occasion.
During the two weeks leading up to Pride, many buildings across the Brussels-Capital Region will be illuminated and decorated in rainbow colours.
The city’s Rainbow Village is gearing up for a big celebration, ensuring that the streets will be filled with life throughout the weekend.
