New 2024 Porsche Macan Fully Electrified

Porsche takes a significant step toward electrification with the unveiling of the fully electric Macan, featuring power up to 639 horsepower in its Turbo version and a range exceeding 500 km. Revealed on Thursday, January 25, 2024, the electric Macan marks Porsche’s second electric vehicle following the success of the Taycan and carries substantial commercial ambitions.

The exterior design of the electric Macan evolves cautiously, adopting a facade inspired by the Taycan and a sleeker roofline typical of SUV coupes, while significantly enhancing aerodynamics. The use of the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform allows for a longer wheelbase, offering more interior space while maintaining compact exterior dimensions. These changes aim to aesthetically distinguish the electric Macan from its combustion predecessor, focusing on efficiency and modern design.

Inside, Porsche innovates with a dashboard integrating Android Automotive OS, excluding Google Automotive services but with essential apps available through Porsche’s app store. The addition of an augmented reality head-up display and increased luggage capacity illustrate the fusion of cutting-edge technology and comfort, hallmarks of the brand. Performance remains at the heart of the electric Macan.

The new electric Porsche Macan is available in two versions at launch:

  • The Turbo version, which is the more powerful of the two, offers an impressive power of 470 kW (639 hp) in Boost mode and a torque of 1130 Nm, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 260 km/h.
  • Meanwhile, the Macan 4 offers 300 kW (408 hp) with two electric motors, ensuring solid performance and a quality electric driving experience.

According to the WLTP mixed cycle, the Macan 4 can travel up to 613 kilometers, while the Macan Turbo has a range of 591 kilometers.

These new configurations underline Porsche’s commitment to sustainable mobility without compromising on performance.

This new Macan is produced in a carbon-neutral manner at the Porsche factory in Leipzig and the first units will be available to customers in Belgium during the second half of this year. Prices will start at 88,100 euros for the Macan 4 model and 120,700 euros for the Macan Turbo version.
