ARTEK: New collection of furniture and lighting called “Crafted Through Time”

For nearly nine decades, Artek has stood as a pillar of modern design, blending elegance, simplicity, and functionalityin a way that remains as relevant today as it was at its founding. Established in 1935 by the visionary duo Alvar and Aino Aalto, alongside Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl, Artek’s mission has always been to transform living spaces with furniture that transcends trends and embraces timelessness.

In 2024, Artek continues to honor its legacy by reintroducing beloved classics with the release of the Crafted Through Time collection. This new lineup pays tribute to the brand’s rich history, showcasing reinterpretations of iconic pieces such as the celebrated Armchair 45, originally designed by Alvar Aalto in 1947. Crafted from Finnish birch and available in quilted leather or natural linen, this chair masterfully blends comfort with sophistication, fitting seamlessly into both home environments and professional settings.

Simultaneously, Artek expands its range of tables with fresh walnut-stained finishes, bringing warmth and richness to contemporary interiors. These tables, marked by their versatility, are perfect for a variety of spaces, whether in public or private use.

Artek also explores new horizons in lighting, presenting updated versions of the A110 “Hand Grenade” and A333 “Turnip” pendant lamps, now available in a sophisticated linen duotone. These new finishes introduce a contemporary flair while staying true to Artek’s signature aesthetic of understated elegance and functional beauty.

With Crafted Through Time, Artek once again demonstrates that great design is not just about the present—it’s about crafting pieces that stand the test of time, continually relevant and thoughtfully adapted to the needs of modern living. Each piece in this collection serves as a lasting testament to Artek’s enduring heritage, proving that innovation and authenticity can go hand in hand, decade after decade.
