A Glimpse of Eternity: The Photographic World of Olivier Dassault

Olivier Dassault, known for his multifaceted career, left behind a unique body of work as a photographer. This fall, Artcurial Belgium and Banque Transatlantique pay tribute to his vision with a dual exhibition showcasing his striking photography, from October 10 to December 13, 2024.

Dassault’s photography, captured exclusively on film, explores the intersection of light and form. His eye, shaped by years as a pilot, perceives the world in lines, angles, and contrasts, which is reflected in his abstract compositions. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, he mastered the use of multiple exposures and overlays, liberating his work from realism and focusing on color and shape as tools of expression.

A tireless traveler, Dassault sought inspiration in the energy of the places and objects around him, creating compositions that are as unique as they are captivating. His photographs have been exhibited globally, from Paris to New York, and have become part of prestigious collections, including the Centre Pompidou.
