The MAXUS eTERRON 9 breaks new ground: it is the very first fully electric pickup with standard all-wheel drive in Europe. Unveiled at the IAA Transportation in Hanover, this model heralds a new era in the mid-size vehicle segment, combining versatility, performance, and premium-level comfort.
A powerful and innovative powertrain
Thanks to its two electric motors (125 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear), the eTERRON 9 delivers a total output of 325 kW/442 hp for optimal all-wheel traction. It comes equipped with a 102 kWh high-voltage battery, engineered using the “Tetris” principle to maximize capacity and enhance safety. Fast charging (from 20% to 80%) takes just 40 minutes, while the official range reaches 430 km (WLTP combined).
Built for adventure
Measuring 5.50 meters in length, this pickup can handle up to 620 kg of payload and tow up to 3.5 tonnes – a record for its category. The rear portion of the cab folds down to extend the cargo area to 2.40 meters, ideal for sports gear, DIY materials, or gardening equipment. Add a “frunk” (front trunk) with 236 liters of storage plus the “Vehicle to Load” (V2L) feature to power external devices: the eTERRON 9 becomes a truly mobile power station.
Comfort and safety worthy of a sedan
Inside, you’ll find a premium interior featuring front seats with massage and ventilation functions, along with a multi-link air suspension at the rear for remarkable ride comfort. A suite of driver-assistance systems (emergency braking, lane departure warning, etc.) adds to its safety credentials. Euro NCAP has awarded this model the maximum five-star rating—the first such accolade for an electric pickup.
