Hyundai’s IONIQ 9 is poised to make a breakthrough in the world of three-row electric SUVs. With its outstanding interior space, impressive range, and a host of innovations, this model aims to redefine electric mobility.
An “aerostatic” design and an XXL cabin
The IONIQ 9’s “aerostatic” body features a sleek roofline and flush surfaces, optimizing aerodynamics. Inside, the cabin benefits from a flat floor and a sliding “Universal Island 2.0” console. Second-row swivel seats transform the vehicle into a true lounge, while those in the first and second rows can recline almost completely for maximum comfort.
Impressive range and ultra-fast charging
Equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery, the IONIQ 9 can travel up to 620 km (WLTP standard) and can charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes thanks to its E-GMP platform. Available in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, it caters to various performance needs.
Onboard technology and enhanced safety
The IONIQ 9 features a curved panoramic display, AI-based voice recognition, and OTA software updates. On the safety side, it comes with ten airbags and a wide range of driver assistance systems (emergency braking, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, etc.).
Release date and price in Belgium
The launch is planned for the first half of 2025 in South Korea and the United States, followed by Europe thereafter. Hyundai has not yet disclosed the exact price for Belgium at the time of writing. However, given the premium equipment and cutting-edge technologies on offer, a high-end positioning is expected.
In short, the Hyundai IONIQ 9 ticks all the boxes for a next-generation electric SUV: comfort, futuristic design, solid range, and high-tech innovations. We can’t wait to put it to the test and share our first impressions with you.
