Renault 5 Turbo 3E: The Legend Reborn in Electric Version

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E makes its grand return, this time in a production version. Unveiled exclusively in the final episode of the documentary series Anatomy of a Comeback on Prime Video, this modern reinterpretation of the legendary 1980s Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 promises extreme thrills.

With its retro-futuristic design inspired by the world of motorsport, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E doesn’t hide its ambition: to revive the exuberance and performance of its predecessor. Its look, with colors reminiscent of the 1980s rally versions, is paired with 100% electric technology. The car integrates iconic elements, such as the charging port hidden in an air scoop at the rear, a nod to the original “Turbo.”

Under the hood, the Turbo 3E does not disappoint. Equipped with two electric motors driving the rear wheels, it delivers over 500 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds. This performance, worthy of the greatest supercars, is made possible by a carbon structure that combines lightness and maximum rigidity, essential for a true driving experience.

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E will be available in production starting in 2025, after making a splash as a show car at the 2022 Mondial de l’Auto. A model to watch closely for all enthusiasts of this iconic car.
