Philips Airfryer 5000 Series Combines Steam and Airfry
Philips introduces the Airfryer 5000 Series Single Basket with integrated steam function, designed to simplify daily cooking while expanding possibilities. By combining airfry and steam technologies in one appliance, it reduces the need for multiple devices while improving texture and consistency.
The key feature is the SteamFry function, which combines hot air and steam in a single program. This allows food to cook evenly, creating a crisp exterior while maintaining moisture inside. It is suited for chicken, fish, vegetables, dumplings, and baked goods, reducing the risk of overcooking or drying out ingredients.

A separate steam mode enables gentle cooking while preserving flavor, color, and texture. Compared to boiling, steam cooking can retain up to 87 percent more nutrients. The RapidAir Plus technology ensures even heat distribution through a star shaped airflow system, delivering consistent results with up to 90 percent less fat than traditional frying.

With 21 cooking modes including baking, grilling, roasting, reheating, and warming, the appliance functions as an all in one solution. Its 7.2 liter capacity allows full meals to be prepared in a single cycle, making it suitable for family use.

The design focuses on usability. The EasySlide Rail system allows smooth handling of the basket, while the cooking window enables monitoring without interrupting the process. The SteamClean function simplifies maintenance by loosening grease and residue automatically. The appliance also features a PFAS free ceramic coating and a removable water tank.
The Philips Airfryer 5000 Series is available from early March through selected retailers and online, with a recommended retail price of 249.99 euros.
