Many MINI enthusiasts were disappointed to see the new generation MINI Countryman increase in size, a move that diverged from the brand’s tradition of offering smaller vehicles. In response to this feedback, MINI has introduced the Aceman, a new model that slots between the iconic Cooper and the larger Countryman.
Compact dimensions
Measuring just over 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in height, and 1.75 meters in width, the Aceman fits perfectly into the urban vehicle category, much like the Volvo EX30. Despite its modest size, the trunk offers a respectable capacity of 300 liters when all five seats are occupied, which increases to 1000 liters when the rear bench is folded down.
In terms of design
The Aceman remains true to the concept previously showcased. The front features squared headlights and a flush grille, in line with the latest trends from the brand. The bulky side protections and pointed wheel arches give the profile a robust appearance. The rear of the Aceman resembles that of the Countryman but appears more solid.
Interior design
The Aceman adopts a refreshed aesthetic typical of MINI’s latest offerings. It features a large circular digital display at the center of the dashboard that centralizes the controls. The interior design leans towards charming minimalism, complemented by fabric and finishes that respect the brand’s heritage.
Under the hood
The Aceman is available exclusively with electric powertrains. The E and SE models deliver performances akin to the electric Cooper, with 184 and 218 horsepower respectively, and front-wheel drive. The E model is equipped with a 42.5 kilowatt-hour battery allowing a range of 310 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, while the SE model features a larger 54.2 kilowatt-hour battery, offering up to 406 kilometers of range.
Pricing
The Aceman will be available on the Belgian market starting at 36,500 euros for the Aceman E model, and 40,500 euros for the Aceman SE version.
