After an extensive renovation, the NH Collection Gent has reopened its doors, offering a unique blend of modern elegance and historical charm.
Located right in the heart of Ghent, across from the city hall and just a short walk from landmarks like St. Bavo’s Cathedral and the Castle of the Counts, this hotel is the perfect base for exploring the city.
Once known as the NH Hotel Gent Belfort, the building has been transformed into a space that pays homage to Ghent’s rich history while embracing contemporary design. Part of the structure dates back to the 1913 World Exhibition, and its interiors tell the story of Ghent’s textile heritage and local legends, including the tale of forbidden love between Veerle Van Artevelde and Lieven Denys.
With 174 spacious rooms, including Junior Suites named after members of the Van Artevelde family, NH Collection Gent weaves history into every corner. Warm tones, fine materials, and subtle textile accents create an inviting atmosphere. The Grand Café Van Artevelde is a highlight, serving Belgian beers and local dishes throughout the day, while the courtyard offers a serene spot for dining or drinks.
Guests can also take advantage of a fully equipped gym and sauna. For business travelers, the hotel boasts 10 meeting rooms that can host up to 400 people.
Rooms start at €150 per night, including breakfast, making NH Collection Gent an accessible yet luxurious choice. Beyond the hotel, Ghent invites visitors to explore its medieval streets, lively bars, and cultural hotspots, blending history with a vibrant, forward-thinking energy.
At NH Collection Gent, you won’t just stay in the city—you’ll become part of its story.
