Microlino Spiaggina: The Microcar That Breathes Summer

Microlino Spiaggina: The Microcar That Breathes Summer

In Antwerp, in a setting as elegant as it was summery, we discovered the Microlino Spiaggina, a limited edition of just 100 units. With its clear seaside inspiration and retro flair, this 100% electric microcar has everything to charm urban mobility enthusiasts with a taste for style.

A car made for summer

Already a cult favorite on social media thanks to its irresistible look and ultra-compact size, the Microlino is far more than a novelty. In this Spiaggina version, it transforms into a true beach icon: a removable canvas roof, no side windows, an open rear structure, and a water-resistant marine-style vegan leather interior. Everything evokes sun, sea, and breezy coastal drives.

Available in two exclusive colors — Portofino Blue and Sardinia Sage — it inevitably turns heads, whether cruising the Knokke promenade or parked in the trendy Zuid district of Antwerp. It’s hard not to think of the vintage Fiat 500 Jolly or a chic, electric twist on the Citroën Ami Buggy.

Not a toy — a real vehicle

Don’t be fooled by its compact size (2.51 m long) or featherweight build (615 kg including the battery): the Microlino plays in the big leagues. Its chassis features a safety cell comparable to that of a VW Golf, and its 12.4 kW motor allows it to reach 90 km/h in the L7e version — requiring a standard car or motorcycle license. Claimed range? Up to 200 km in urban use, thanks to its 10.5 kWh battery and a frugal energy consumption of 7.3 kWh/100 km.

The 230-liter trunk is surprisingly roomy for such a compact vehicle — perfect for groceries or a beach bag. Charging takes about four hours on a regular outlet or a dedicated charging station.

An object of desire… and a communication tool

With a starting price of €25,990 (incl. VAT), the Spiaggina targets a very specific audience: well-off individuals looking for a stylish third vehicle, or companies seeking a mobile branding tool with undeniable visual impact. On the street, it’s a showstopper — passersby smile, ask questions, and snap photos. Mission accomplished.

It’s no surprise the Microlino continues to gain popularity. In Belgium and Luxembourg, distributor D’Ieteren has already sold over 200 units across all versions. The current dealer network of seven is expected to expand to 12 soon.

Belgian bonus: a Smurfs collector’s edition

To celebrate the release of the new Smurfs movie in 2025, a special ultra-limited “Smurfs Edition” will launch exclusively in Belgium. Limited to just 10 units, this playful, collectible version will be offered at €18,990 — a dream for collectors and fans of the iconic Belgian cartoon.
