COLLECTIBLE Brussels : Design as Lived Practice

COLLECTIBLE Brussels : Design as Lived Practice

From 12 to 15 March 2026, COLLECTIBLE returns to the Vanderborght Building in Brussels for its ninth European edition, with a VIP and press preview on 11 March. Dedicated exclusively to 21st century collectible design, the fair brings together galleries, independent studios and design collectives within a clear curatorial framework.

The layout unfolds through distinct sections that guide the visit. MAIN assembles leading galleries presenting tightly conceived exhibitions at the intersection of design, architecture and art. BESPOKE offers independent studios a platform for commissioned and made to order works, foregrounding process and direct collaboration. NEW GARDE supports young galleries and collectives, extending international visibility to emerging practices. ARCHITECT <=> DESIGNER highlights architects and interior designers presenting their latest furniture collections, acknowledging their role in shaping contemporary interiors.

Introduced this year, TABLESCAPES approaches the table as a site of design, hospitality and social interaction. Designers present singular tables or complete dining settings, reflecting on gesture, materiality and the way objects structure moments of gathering. The section extends the fair’s curatorial vision into use and encounter, framing design as a lived practice.

At the center of experimentation, the CURATED section directed by Marine Mimouni unfolds under the title Echoes of Use. The focus turns to the silent presence of objects and the traces left by gestures, light and time. A scenography conceived by Romain Joly and Lisa Bravi begins with the figure of the cardboard box, rethought as form, surface and structure within a textile environment. Fabric provided by Pierre Frey shapes the pedestals, reinforcing the material dialogue.

The entrance scenography, developed by Bellerose in collaboration with Lukas Cober, establishes an immersive threshold that reflects the fair’s attention to space, materiality and experience. Special projects continue through partnerships with Rado, presenting new timepieces from the True Round collection developed with Les Couleurs Le Corbusier, and with Combo Toys, whose modular recycled plastic environment invites visitors to assemble and explore.

Established in 2018 by Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg, COLLECTIBLE reinterprets the fair model through an open and integrated environment where galleries, studios, institutions and foundations converge. In Brussels, the experience unfolds through a precise sequence of curated sections, shaping a focused encounter with contemporary collectible design.
