Kaamos Collection: Embracing Nordic Craft with Iittala’s Latest Designs

Iittala has launched its new Kaamos Collection at Helsinki Design Week, exploring the beauty and contrasts of Finnish winter. Under the artistic direction of Janni Vepsäläinen, the collection features bold glass sculptures and classic designs, drawing from Iittala’s rich heritage.

Highlights include the Arnica and Pallas vases by Tapio Wirkkala, and Ice Floe trays that reinterpret Finland’s natural landscapes with textured glass finishes.

Celebrating both artistry and functionality, Kaamos introduces timeless, reimagined pieces like the 1947 Kanto vase, which returns in clear, amber, and dark grey. The collection also includes limited-edition i-glass bowls and bottles, paying homage to Timo Sarpaneva’s 1950s designs in moss green. Each item is crafted with natural materials, embodying Iittala’s deep respect for sustainable design and Finnish tradition.

Available now, the Kaamos Collection continues Iittala’s mission to blend modern aesthetics with Scandinavian heritage, inviting new interpretations of timeless design. For more information, visit Iittala’s website.
