Philips OneTurn: A Simpler Gesture for Everyday Ironing
Ironing remains a regular task in many Belgian households. More than three quarters of Belgians report ironing their clothes, yet enthusiasm for the process is limited. For many, the inconvenience lies not only in the act itself but in the preparation around it. Setting up an ironing board, waiting for the appliance to heat, and dedicating time to the task are often cited as the most frustrating steps.
The Philips OneTurn approaches this routine from a different angle. Its design focuses on simplifying gestures that typically slow the process down. At the center of the product is a diamond shaped soleplate that pivots with a single movement, adapting the iron to different ways of working.

In its I shape, the soleplate supports horizontal ironing and careful work around details. Turned into the T shape, it allows vertical steaming and broad, uniform movements across larger surfaces. The change is immediate, requiring only a simple rotation of the soleplate.
The experience continues with integrated OptimalTEMP technology, which removes the need to adjust temperature between fabrics. Delicate silk and thicker cotton can be handled without switching settings, while the risk of burning ironable textiles is avoided.
Steam plays a constant role in the process. Continuous steam output and a powerful steam boost address more stubborn creases, maintaining consistent performance from garment to garment.

The appliance is designed with compact living in mind. A removable water tank simplifies refilling, while a rinse function helps maintain performance over time. A rest mode and automatic shut off add another layer of comfort and security during use. When the task is complete, the compact and clean design allows the iron to be stored easily within the home.
Philips OneTurn is available in three finishes. Silky White offers a minimal and fresh presence. Autumn Leaf introduces a warmer tone with a distinctive character. Misty Dawn presents a deep navy appearance with a timeless feel.
Together these elements shift ironing away from a lengthy preparation and toward a more direct action. A single turn of the soleplate reshapes the gesture, allowing the routine to adapt to the rhythm of contemporary households where time and space are often limited.
