The Vault: Dries Criel’s New Creative Space in Antwerp

Antwerp welcomes a new space for fine jewelry, design, and art with the opening of The Vault, the latest venture by Belgian jewelry designer Dries Criel. Located in a historic former State Railways Ordering Office, this thoughtfully curated showroom represents a blend of tradition and modernity, offering an immersive experience for visitors.

Designed by Belgian architect Glenn Sestig, The Vault showcases Dries Criel’s signature aesthetic of grey and green tones, creating a contemporary yet warm atmosphere. The space features a mix of Belgian design, including furniture by Ann Demeulemeester for Serax and Sofie & Alexander, and artwork from renowned artists such as Renato Nicolodi and Robert Mapplethorpe. The inclusion of vintage jade objects and Japanese porcelain adds a natural balance to the modernist decor.

“The Vault is more than a showroom—it’s a creative hub where my designs, art, and inspiring conversations come together,” explains Dries Criel. Each detail of the space reflects his dedication to craftsmanship and high-quality materials, echoing the strength and elegance of his jewelry collections.
