Bouzouk: A Fragrance That Tells a Story

Bouzouk, a man of many talents, has unveiled his latest creation: a namesake fragrance simply titled Bouzouk. Known for his career as an internationally acclaimed makeup artist, painter, and writer, Bouzouk now ventures into the world of perfumery, crafting a scent that reflects his life, inspirations, and travels.

The Fragrance
Bouzouk is a multi-faceted scent, designed to evoke both the vibrancy of life and the serenity of self-reflection. The fragrance unfolds in layers:

  • Top Notes: The fresh brightness of winter lemon, Peruvian pepper tree, and the warmth of saffron cinnamon create an opening of self-confidence and gaiety.
  • Middle Notes: A blend of mimosa breeze, sea jasmine, and salt crystals brings a sense of mental regeneration and relaxation.
  • Base Notes: Cypress and frankincense resin, ambergris, and driftwood linger, offering a comforting, slightly aphrodisiac finish.

Speaking about his inspiration, Bouzouk shares:

“I wanted to create a universal scent that soothes and comforts the body and mind. It’s about capturing the essence of life’s moments—smells, sounds, and emotions—and translating them into something tangible.”

Crafted with Precision
The fragrance is macerated in the caves under the Citadel of Namur, adding a layer of authenticity to its artisanal production. Bouzouk’s commitment to detail is evident, from the choice of ingredients to the intimate process of crafting each bottle.

Each spray invites the wearer to experience a world of contrasts—vibrancy and calm, adventure and reflection. As Bouzouk himself says: It’s a gentle and luminous vibration, and a reassuring presence”

Where to Find It
Available for €185, Bouzouk can be found at select resellers such as Senteurs d’Ailleurs, Maison Roger, and Smets Luxembourg, as well as online at www.bouzouk.be.
