Pack your bags for a journey through the evolution of European design! From February 22 to May 25, 2025, the Design Museum Den Bosch presents Trans Europa Design, an exhibition that brings together five leading design institutions: Design Museum Brussels, Designmuseum Danmark, Mudac Lausanne, Triennale Milano, and Domaine de Boisbuchet.
Each selection offers a unique perspective on design history and the role of museums in shaping its future. In Copenhagen, visitors will discover the Scandinavian design legacy, from the clean lines of Kaare Klint to the visionary work of Finn Juhl. In Lausanne, Swiss craftsmanship meets the surreal world of Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau. Meanwhile, Brussels showcases the bold and colorful plastic creations of the 1960s and 70s, featuring designers like Liisi Beckmann and Enzo Mari.

The journey continues in Boisbuchet, France, where design is explored as a global craft, mixing modernist furniture with traditional objects from around the world. Finally, at Triennale Milano, Italian creativity takes center stage with pieces by Gaetano Pesce and Achille Castiglioni, highlighting the dynamic evolution of Italian design.

More than just a collection of objects, Trans Europa Design invites visitors to reflect on the role of design museums today and in the future. As Design Museum Den Bosch prepares for the construction of its new museum building, this exhibition serves as a thought-provoking exploration of how design shapes our world.
