Starting December 18, 2024, the iconic Atomium in Brussels invites visitors to experience Echoes of Distant Lights, an immersive light and sound exhibition by Belgian artist Antoine Goldschmidt and his studio Magicstreet.
In this new installation, the Atomium transforms into a stellar capsule. Laser beams weave through a suspended glass sculpture, creating patterns that evoke celestial landscapes—nebulae, galaxies, and distant stars. At the lower level, images of the cosmos captured by the Hubble and James Webb telescopes fade across glowing surfaces, symbolizing the passage of time and light. A custom soundscape by musician Ofer Smilansky completes the experience, making the space feel otherworldly and meditative.
With Echoes of Distant Lights, the Atomium celebrates its commitment to digital art, offering visitors a chance to explore a poetic and visual journey through the universe while celebrating local artistic innovation.
