News – Mercedes-Benz Electric C-Class: New step for the executive sedan
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its all-new fully electric C-Class, positioning it as a key player in the rapidly growing premium electric sedan segment. Built on an 800V architecture, it combines long-range capability, fast charging, and high performance in a radically redefined package.
The range will be fully electric, sold alongside the existing combustion C-Class. This new generation is significantly larger, stretching 13 cm longer than its predecessor and even exceeding older E-Class models in size. However, the increased dimensions do not automatically translate into more rear-seat comfort, as the battery packaging and low roofline limit rear space. The model offers a boot of around 570 litres plus a small front trunk.
Inside, the highlight is a massive dashboard-wide display stretching nearly one metre, backed by a powerful computing system with liquid cooling to ensure stability. The cabin reinforces Mercedes’ “Welcome Home” philosophy with a strong focus on digital experience and premium ambiance.

Performance remains a key selling point. The top version delivers around 490 hp and 800 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just over four seconds. While these figures place it close to sports car territory, the emphasis is as much on positioning as on real-world use.
Thanks to its 800V system and 94 kWh battery, the electric C-Class can recover roughly 330 km of range in about 10 minutes under ideal conditions, with a WLTP range reaching up to 715 km. A more efficient variant is expected to follow later.
With this new model, Mercedes is clearly aiming to redefine what a modern executive sedan can be in the electric age, blending technology, performance, and digital luxury into a single flagship proposition.
