The first feature from filmmaker brothers David and Francisco Salazar is Nowhere.
Nowhere gives us the story of Adrian and Sebastian – two guys from Colombia, living happily together in New York City. However, when Sebastian’s visa application is rejected, the couple are faced with heartbreaking choices.
The film effectively illustrates why Adrian and Sebastian are determined to make their live together in the US, but also highlights the stress and pressure that the immigration process can place on a couple.
Also exploring how we connect to a sense of home and a sense of place, Nowhere shows us the compromises that many LGBTQ people are navigating as they try and create a life where they can just be themselves.
It’s a touching, moving, and thought-provoking film that’s well worth adding to your watch-list.
Written and directed by David Salazar and Francisco Salazar, the cast of Nowhere includes Miguel González, Juan Pablo Castiblanco, Daniel Espinosa, and Melissa Cardona.
