This September, designer Lucas Huillet and perfumer Alexandre Helwani will unveil their latest creation, Eau Fraîche, at Paris Design Week. The installation, in partnership with dsm-firmenich and The Good Plastic Company, will be showcased at the iconic National Arch from September 5th to 22nd.
Eau Fraîche is more than an art piece—it’s a response to climate change. The installation features two fountains made from Polygood®, a sustainable material crafted entirely from recycled plastic by The Good Plastic Company. The fountains symbolize the preservation of resources, while their handcrafted stoneware bowls, designed by Huillet, highlight the importance of manual craftsmanship.
What sets this installation apart is the sensory experience. Each fountain diffuses a unique fragrance created by Helwani and dsm-firmenich. One fountain evokes outdoor freshness with floral and aromatic notes, while the other mimics the sensation of cool indoor air with notes of shade and humidity.
With Eau Fraîche, Huillet and Helwani merge creativity, sustainability, and sensory innovation, offering visitors a profound experience that addresses the need for ecological consciousness in today’s world.
