Ernesto is a project from filmmakers Alice de Luca and Giacomo Raffaelli.
The film gives us the story of Ernesto (Federico Russo). Ernest is a young guy who lives in Rome – he’s beginning to figure himself out, propelled forward by each encounter and relationship that he experiences.
The film embraces its experimental qualities – playing with the use of sound and immersing us within a fragmented narrative of memories and moments.
In the role of Ernesto, Russo is compelling – giving us an authentic innocence and openness while also making it clear that this is a character that is up for anything.
At its heart, this is a film about the impact that people have on us. No matter how brief our contact, or how brief our relationship, everyone leaves a mark on us and helps to shape who we become.
Ernest is distributed by TLA Releasing
