Tastemaker DJs have embraced Capital Cities’ music. Nic Harcourt debuted the EP’s lead track “Safe and Sound” on his final ‘Sounds Eclectic’ show, while Aaron Axelsen of San Francisco’s LIVE105 and the legendary Rodney Bingenheimer of L.A.’s KROQ show love on their weekly indie shows. The band’s music is charting high on radio stations all over the world from Europe to South America to Asia, and after numerous mentions on the blogosphere, “Safe and Sound” made its way onto Hype Machine and was “loved” all the way to the #2 spot on the popular song chart.
“Safe & Sound” is the lead track from their debut EP that is available on iTunes now. The song is a crisp and throbbing slice of California sunshine pop with catchy indie stylings that features the group’s beloved vintage Juno-106 keyboard that gives the production such a comforting retro vibe.
