Renault Twingo E-Tech electric Takes Over Antwerp During Design Week
The iconic Renault Twingo E-Tech electric is making a vibrant return, not only as a new vehicle but as the centerpiece of a creative urban takeover during Antwerp Design Week. For the opening weekend, Renault transforms the Eilandje district into a temporary playground where design, art, lifestyle, and urban mobility come together.
Inspired by the original Twingo of the 1990s, a model celebrated for its colorful personality, clever design, and accessibility, the new Renault Twingo E-Tech electric brings that same sense of freedom and optimism into the electric era. Compact on the outside yet surprisingly spacious inside, the city car combines playful styling with modern technology. Features include Google integration, one pedal driving, and a driving range of up to 263 kilometers, while maintaining an accessible starting price below €20,000.

As part of the activation, BelRoy’s and 53.eleven in Antwerp’s Eilandje district are transformed into a temporary “Twingo Terrace.” Decorated in the model’s signature green color palette, the venues feature custom design elements, themed interiors, and eye catching storefront displays that bring the spirit of the new Twingo into the cityscape.

At the center of the experience stands a unique Renault Twingo art car created by Brussels based multidisciplinary artist Carl Cash Knight. Reimagined as a rolling artwork, the vehicle reflects the playful, graphic, and colorful identity that defines the new generation of the Twingo. The installation serves as the visual highlight of the event and remains on display throughout the weekend.
Nicknamed internally “The Frog in the City,” the new Twingo embraces a cheerful character inspired by its distinctive front end design. To celebrate this identity, visitors can enjoy the exclusive “Twingo Red Cheeks” mocktail, crafted with raspberry, lime, violet cream, and soda.




The Renault Twingo E-Tech electric has been designed around emotion, color, and ease of use. Rounded shapes, colorful accents, customizable accessories, playful interior details, and smart storage solutions all contribute to a vehicle that aims to bring joy back to urban driving.
