Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed Prototypes: The Future Roadster from Mercedes

Mercedes-AMG is gradually unveiling the PureSpeed, a remarkable performance roadster currently in its final testing phase, under camouflage. First presented in May 2024 in Monaco, this limited-edition model, designed for motorsport enthusiasts and collectors, is now undergoing intensive tests on the roads of Italy and on the Nardò circuit.

A Tribute to Legendary Cars

The PureSpeed stands out as a two-seater without a roof or windshield. This body concept, which pays homage to legendary race cars, is being tested in real-world conditions over more than 3,000 kilometers to ensure that every aspect of the vehicle meets Mercedes-AMG’s stringent quality standards.

Rigorous Testing

The tests go beyond a simple evaluation of shape and structure. They also include high-speed circuit tests, where experts meticulously adjust the systems to ensure precise handling and exceptional dynamic performance. In collaboration with Pininfarina, the project partner, Mercedes-AMG ensures that every detail of the vehicle is optimized to deliver an unparalleled driving experience.

HALO System: F1™-Inspired Safety

One of the most remarkable features of the PureSpeed is the HALO system, directly derived from Formula 1™ technology. This safety device, a curved bar fixed to the car’s body, protects occupants in the event of an accident while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally, two helmets specially designed for this model offer extra protection, integrating safety with style.

Ultra-Limited Series

With only 250 units planned, the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is an exclusive vehicle destined for true connoisseurs. As the first model of the new ultra-limited Mercedes-Benz Mythos series, it combines a unique racing aesthetic with exceptional performance, creating a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.
