The video, directed by Guy Sagy, pays homage to Alain Resnais’ hypnotic, high fashion romance ‘Last Year at Marienbad’, and features the “fire on ice” collection by French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
As with previous single, “D.I.S.C.O.”, which incorporated a sample of the Ottawan classic of the same name, in “Be With You Tonight” TYP flirts with a classic once again. This time, the band samples Joe Dassin’s “Et si tu n’existais pas”, taken from the famed francophone New York singer/songwriter’s 1975 album, ‘Le costume blanc’.
