Celebrating 75 Years of Porsche Excellence: A Journey Through the Porsche Museum

In 2023, Porsche’s Zuffenhausen-based museum is abuzz with excitement as it marks 75 years of automotive excellence. This milestone year not only commemorates the iconic 911’s 60th birthday but also celebrates ’75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars. The museum, situated at the heart of the Porsche headquarters in Stuttgart, offers a remarkable experience for enthusiasts and dreamers alike.

A Special Exhibition: 75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars

The Porsche Museum’s current special exhibition, “75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars,” is a captivating journey through the brand’s storied history. This exhibit, the most comprehensive in the museum’s 14-year history, invites visitors to immerse themselves in the legendary world of Porsche.

As you explore the exhibition, you’ll encounter not just groundbreaking technologies but also the visionaries who transformed dreams into reality. Like the pioneering spirit of Ferry Porsche, this exhibition showcases the dreamers behind the Porsche legend.

For those unable to visit in person, the Porsche Museum offers a 360-degree virtual tour, allowing you to explore the anniversary exhibition from the comfort of your home. You can even take virtual test drives in five iconic Porsche cars, including the historic 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities

December 3rd marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and the Porsche Museum joins in the celebration. From November 28 to December 3, visitors with a disabled person’s pass and their accompanying guests enjoy free entry to the Porsche Museum. On December 2 and 3, the museum showcases the race car of paraplegic US American Tim Horrell, who competed in the German GTC Race with a specially adapted Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport from W&S Motorsport. This vehicle, customized by PARAVAN mobility experts, underscores Porsche’s commitment to inclusivity and innovation.

The Christophorus Lounge: A Glimpse into Porsche’s Essence

For those who seek to immerse themselves in the Porsche experience, the newly redesigned Christophorus Lounge within the Christophorus Restaurant awaits. This lounge, with seating for 22 guests, seamlessly blends Porsche’s tradition with its future.

Carefully curated, the lounge features bookshelves filled with works on the Porsche brand, alongside unique exhibits that showcase never-before-seen features. One such feature includes electric guitars displayed on the wall in Heritage Design, designed by Studio F.A. Porsche in Zell am See and finished by hand. The Christophorus Lounge is not merely a place to relax; it’s an inspirational space that encourages visitors to pursue their Porsche dreams.

As Porsche celebrates 75 years of sports car excellence, the Porsche Museum stands as a living legend, commemorating the dreamers and visionaries who have contributed to the iconic Porsche legacy.
