RuPaul Charles is many things — if not everything: a two-time Emmy winner, a trailblazing talent, an icon of the LGBTQ community, a self-love guru, and the world’s most beloved drag queen.
On Friday night, he’s officially a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the first drag queen to ever achieve that honor. Dressed in a red tartan suit and wearing his trademark glasses, the entertainment mogul admitted that he was “overcome with so much emotion.” In a moving speech he declared, “This is absolutely the most important moment in my professional career.”

The 57-year-old host of RuPaul’s Drag Race said he was “overcome with so much emotion” to get the honour he’d dreamed of since he was a child.

Fans lined the Hollywood Boulevard to cheer RuPaul on and thank him for all he’s done for the LGBTQ community.
