It seems that Dua Lipa is not nearly done with her Future Nostalgia era yet. After dropping the album in March and following up with remix album Club Future Nostalgia over the summer, the British pop star just released yet another version of ‘Levitating’ featuring DaBaby. On the 27th of November she will perform a livestream show titled Club 2054 and this week she drops the brand new single ‘Fever’, featuring Belgian pop star Angèle.
Lipa and Angèle co-wrote the tune with a team of songwriters including Julia Michaels and producer Ian Kirkpatrick, who also produced a couple of songs for the Future Nostalgia album. ‘Fever’ is a short but sweet sultry bop with a light and fresh production and serves hook after hook, especially considering the track only lasts for about two and a half minutes. Dua opens the track with a verse and chorus in English, after which Angèle, one of the biggest Francophone pop stars of the moment thanks to hits like ‘Balance Ton Quoi’ and ‘Tout Oublier’, serves a second verse in French. After that, the chorus is being repeated together with a just as catchy French post chorus by Angèle. ‘Fever’ is a sexy little bop that works perfectly for both artists and will do especially well in the Francophone countries. Keep them coming Dua!
